A translation booklet that accompanies a national licence. EU and EEA licences are valid in Spain on their own; visitors with licences from outside the EU need an IDP or a licence in the Vienna or Geneva format alongside the original.

A US, Australian or Gulf-state driver should bring the IDP issued at home, plus the plastic licence.
